Cookies, Tempo, & Pilates Recap
The cookies are a treat for my trainees after surviving a super hard track workout Tuesday- Dark Chocolate, Cranberry reduced sugar (still chock full of butter- so don't give me too much credit) circles of awesomeness!
Tonight is a group run (in lieu of a tempo run) out of Fleet Feet. Zoo lights is still closed weekdays for the next week and the White House Christmas Tree lighting is tonight (so no fun mall run) but we'll have a nice group run with post-run cookies! I'm super sore from my workout yesterday and it's always a good idea to listen to your body, so I plan a nice easy 3miler at the back of the group for myself tonight.
Yesterday I made my way to Fuse Pilates studio in Dupont for a cross training workout. Fuse is my go-to for cross training. I will not do cross training workouts on my own (we seriously have a fully outfitted gym in our basement that I never use); but there's something about the amazing decor, awesome instructors, and kick-ass music that makes me want to do them at Fuse.
Yesterday I tried Clare's class and it kicked my butt! 55minutes of mat pilates accompanied by extremely hilarious conversations on where is JTT now, the new Boy Meets World spinoff, & Lifetime movies. Can you tell the majority of the class were teens in the 90s.
Come on! What's not to love!
So far I've had a great week of workouts and no chocolate chip breakfasts so I'm considering it a good week. Major shout-out to anyone visiting from my friend Nikki's blog! & Many thanks to Nikki for her shout out to me :)
